Weather Warning: Heavy Rainfall along with Thunderstorm in Many States including Delhi

The Western disturbance has now moved north eastwards and induced cyclonic circulation is persisting over central Pakistan which will lead to fairly widespread rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated heavy to very heavy spells occurred over Jammu and Kashmir, scattered rains is likely to lash over Uttarakhand.

The Western disturbance has now moved north eastwards and induced cyclonic circulation is persisting over central Pakistan which will lead to fairly widespread rain and snow over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Isolated heavy to very heavy spells occurred over Jammu and Kashmir, scattered rains are likely to lash over Uttarakhand.

As per the skymet weather report, scattered to isolated rains are possible over south Rajasthan Vidarbha and South Chhattisgarh, few places over Assam while isolated rains likely to lash over north Punjab and Haryana.

Delhi Weather

The month of March has been exceptionally wet for the national capital Delhi and adjoining NCR. Staggered wet spells at regular intervals have resulted record rainfall in this month. Nearly five times of rainfall against the normal of 15.9mm has been recorded at Safdarjung. The remaining days of March will observe a partly cloudy sky with a fair amount of sunshine in the next two days.

Yesterday Weather Activity

On the other hand, fairly widespread light to moderate rain and thundershower was seen over Punjab and West Uttar Pradesh. Scattered rains over North and East Rajasthan many parts of Madhya Pradesh. Rains at few places in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Maharashtra.

On the other hand, a Confluence zone will develop over south Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. And there are chances of scattered rain and thundershower activities over southern districts of Madhya Pradesh and South and Central districts of Chhattisgarh. These rain activities are expected between March 31 and April, say reports.
