WB Governor C V Ananda Bose Visits Sunderbans, Pays Condolences, Financial Aid to Families Affected by Odisha Train Accident

West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Monday visited Sunderbans to pay condolences to the grieving families who lost their dear ones in the triple train accident that happened in the Baleshwar district of Odisha. He also offered financial aid to these families.

West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose on Monday, June 12, visited the families who lost their dear ones in the triple train tragedy that occurred near Baleshwar. 

Days after visiting the victims in Kolkata Hospital, he visited Basanti Village in the Sunderbans early in the day. While 300 people were declared dead, over 1000 were injured during the horrific train derailment accident on Friday, June 02, 2023.

A grieving mother from Sunderbans has lost her five sons. The entire community is in shock. Governor C V Ananda Bose spent at least three hours in this remote village of West Bengal. Mr. Bose has given financial aid of Rs 50,000 along with monthly provisions of food supplies, including vegetables and fruits, for at least a month to the families affected.

Moreover, an additional amount of Rs 2000 will be given to them for the next six months. He also deposited Rs 1000 in the Jana Dhan accounts of all 300 families.
