People have a misconception that every tumor result in life long coma or kill them. However, in brain tumors cases, a large majority can be successfully treated and patients can lead a normal life.
In India, the occurrence of tumors in central nervous system ranges around 5-10 cases per 1 lakh.
Signs and Symptoms of Brain Tumor:
Symptoms depends on the type and location of the tumor& thus can vary. Signs & symptoms also depends on the rate of growth. So, some tumors have no signs unless they become large. So, a wellness checkup periodically is important. Some common to look out for are:
1. Headaches which normal medicines cannot relieve
2. Projectile vomiting and Nausea
3. Problems with Memory
4. Problems related to vision like blurred vision
5. Numbness of body & seizures
6. Confusion in normal work and things and Facing troubles in concentration
Causes of Brain Tumor:
Various researches are going on all around the world. Some common causes are exposure to radiation or pesticides. Occupational exposure to chemical manufacturing and petro chemical manufacturing. History of cancer of HIV.
Treatments:
First consult with a Neurosurgeon and he will advise you to MRI or CT scan for diagnosis. On the basis of this diagnosis surgeon will advise you to surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immuno-therapy or any suitable combination out of these.
While some cases need urgent surgeries, other cases can be treated with medicines only & surgeries can be avoided.

Food items which are rich in Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Antioxidants and colorful fruits & vegetables are best for your brain health. You can consume Walnuts, Soya Bean and Flaxseeds for Omega 3.
