Zimbabwe Trade Conference Held at Federation of India Exporters, New Delhi Today

The Chief Guest of the event was Raj Kumar Modi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Republic of Zimbabwe.

Godfrey Majoni Chipare, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to India expressed his unwavering support for business partnerships between the two nations.

Zimbabwe India Trade Council on Monday (January 30) organized 'Zimbabwe Trade Conference' at the Federation of India Exporters, Niryat Bhavan Vasant Vihar in New Delhi. The Chief Guest of the event was Raj Kumar Modi, Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Republic of Zimbabwe.

Agenda of the Meeting

During the conference, which was attended by many dignitaries from across the country, the Zimbabwe India Trade Council committed to assist both the countries in developing a strong partnership.

Besides, discussions were also held on ways to expand Zimbabwe's trade and investment opportunities in sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture and agro-processing, mining, tourism, and energy.

As we know that 2023 has been declared as the International Year of Millets hence the two sides also discussed on how Zimbabwe can increase millet production and consumption in the country.

 

"India has the potential to grow into Zimbabwe's main trading partner because both nations have a long history together. We want to make Indian exports the main focus of the relations and increase export revenue, particularly for millets, next year,” said Dr. Asif Iqbal, President of the Zimbabwe India Trade Council.

Dr. Godfrey Majoni Chipare, Ambassador of Zimbabwe to India who also attended the conference expressed his unwavering support for business partnerships between the two nations.
