Congratulations! Ekta Kapoor Becomes a Mom

TV queen Ekta Kapoor is the proud mother of a baby son. She has followed in the footsteps of younger brother Tusshar, and has now welcomed a baby boy via surrogacy.

TV queen Ekta Kapoor is the proud mother of a baby son. She has followed in the footsteps of younger brother Tusshar and has now welcomed a baby boy via surrogacy. 

This news has been confirmed by celebrities congratulating her on social media. Filmmaker Hansal Mehta, who has worked with Ekta Kapoor for the web-series, congratulated the new mother and tweeted. "Many congratulations and lots of love dearest Ekta Kapoor. Welcome to parenthood and joy." 

Her close friend filmmaker Sanjay Gupta also gave best wishes to the TV and film producer and tweeted, "And this is the most heartening news this morning. Many congratulations Ekta. Welcome to the world and joy of parenting. God bless your baby with good health and lots of masti."  

However, according to a Mumbai Mirror report, the baby was born on January 27 and is healthy. Ekta will bring the baby home soon.  

Her brother Tusshar Kapoor, has also decided to be a single parent via surrogacy and welcomed his son Laksshya in 2016.  

Ekta and Tusshar Kapoor are veteran actor Jeetendra and Shobha Kapoor's children. Ekta Kapoor recently released the second season of Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 with Erica Fernandes, Parth Samthaan and Hina Khan in lead roles. Apart from Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2, she is also busy with the production of several web-series through AltBalaji, a branch of Balaji Telefilms, which focuses on short films and web-series. 

Ekta who has produced several famous films in Bollywood like her latest productions Veere Di Wedding starring Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Kha, and Laila Majnu, has become a mom for the first time through a surrogate. 

Though, Ekta Kapoor has still not shared the news on the social media yet.
