IPL 2019 Latest Update; Axar Patel, Unadkat Fetch Big Money, Yuvraj Remains Unsold
The much-awaited auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) is back to enchant cricket fans while around 351 cricketers are set to go under the hammer. So far no player from India is in the highest base price bracket of Rs 2 crore. The IPL auction is being held in Jaipur instead of Bangalore and so is the auctioneer, Hugh Edmeades, who has replaced Richard Madley after 11 seasons.

The top 10 players in the bracket of Rs 2 crore include - Lasith Malinga, Brendon McCullum, Eoin Morgan, Chris Woakes, Shaun Marsh, Sam Curran, Corey Anderson, Colin Ingram, Angelo Mathews and D'Arcy Short.
Jaydev Unadkat, Indian all-rounder who was booked for Rs 11.5 crore by the Rajasthan Royals, will also come in the same bracket. 70 players can be purchased at the auction having 20 slots for the foreign players. Yuvraj Singh, who last played for the country in June 2017, has put himself in the base price bracket of Rs 1 crore next to other capped Indians like Mohammed Shami, Wriddhiman Saha and Axar Patel.
