Launch of New Grades of Fertilizers at RCF Trombay Unit

Shri Bhagwanth Khuba, Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers, as well as New and Renewable Energy, paid a visit to the RCF Trombay Unit in Chembur, Mumbai, today to launch the newly manufactured NPK grade of Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers limited (RCF) – Suphala 10:26:26.

The Minister praised RCF's outstanding performance in the years 2021-2022 and congratulated all employees on their outstanding work during the difficult Pandemic period. He also praised RCF for taking various steps to ensure Atma Nirbhar Bharat in the Sector. On the occasion, the Minister also unveiled the newly developed RCF R&D product VIPULA 10:10:10.

Suphala 10:26:26 is a balanced fertilizer that can be used on a variety of crops.

Features of NPK grade of RCF – Suphala 10:26:26

  • It has one of the highest Phosphorus and Potassium ratios of any NPK fertilizer.

  • It contains 7% nitrogen in ammonical form, 22.5% out of 26% Phosphate in water-soluble form, and the entire 26% Potash available in the water-soluble form

Application:

  • "Suphala 10:26:26" is appropriate for all crops and soils. It is a popular fertilizer for Sugarcane, Paddy, Wheat, Maize, Potato, Cotton, Groundnut, Soybean, Grapes, Pomegranates, Banana, Vegetables, Tobacco, Chilies, and Pulses.

Benefits of Suphala 10:26:26:

  • Improves root growth and development while increasing plant vigour.

  • Increases the number of tillers in paddy, sugarcane, and wheat, as well as the number of branches in cotton, fruits, and vegetables.

  • Increases the number of fruits, tubers, bolls, and grains.

  • Improves the sugar and starch content of sugarcane and potatoes.

Features of VIPULA 10:10:10:

  • With the goal of doubling farmers' income, reducing nutrient losses to the environment, and focusing on precision agriculture, RCF R&D developed an innovative suspension fertilizer VIPULA NPK 10:10:10.

  • The efficient use of nutrients in the fertilizer sector is the foundation of a green economy that produces more food while reducing pollution.

Application:

  • Several state agricultural universities and the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) institutes have successfully tested the product. VIPULA is suitable for all crops and a variety of agroclimatic zones.

  • VIPULA liquid concentrate ensures better nutrient availability and utilization by plants. It is a uniform formulation that can be applied via soil drenching, drip irrigation, or foliar spray.

Benefits of VIPULA 10:10:10:

  • Wheat yields have increased by 30 percent, while rice yields have increased by 21 percent. The VIPULA has a benefit-cost ratio of about 2.5.

  • VIPULA extends the shelf life of crop produce.

  • It is reasonably priced at Rs 250 for a bottle of 250 ml, which is enough for one acre of land.
