Rallis India Launches Mark Plus Herbicide for Superior Weed Control in Soybean and Groundnut Crops across India

Rallis India Limited, a Tata enterprise and a leading player in the Indian agri inputs industry, has launched a new herbicide, ‘Mark Plus’ across the country. With effective weed-killing properties for crops like groundnut and soybean, it provides broad-spectrum control ensuring comprehensive weed management. Initially available in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, the product will be available throughout India as it gets gradually rolled out to other key markets.

Mark Plus is a powerful herbicide that effectively controls a wide range of weeds in soybean and groundnut crops in the ‘pre-emergence’ segment. It is developed using advanced research and features a new formulation of two active ingredients being launched in India for the first time. Mark Plus operates in two distinct ways: it inhibits ALS (an enzyme essential for weed growth) and disrupts microtubule formation (critical for cell division in weeds). This dual action ensures comprehensive and long-lasting weed control.

Speaking about the benefits of the newly launched herbicide product, S Nagarajan, Chief Operating Officer, Rallis India Limited, said, "We are excited to introduce Mark Plus, an effective and advanced herbicide designed to meet the critical need of weed control in groundnut and soybean crops. This herbicide product is a unique product from Rallis and aligns perfectly well with our commitment to address the evolving needs of farmers".
