The founder of Organic MP, Swapnil Shrivastava, and his team have been trying to connect with as many farmers as they can to help them become self-reliant.

The primary issues that society is currently facing are toxicity and pesticide residues in agricultural produce. Consumers all across the world are concerned about the presence of dangerous pesticide residues in a variety of foods including cereals, pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, milk, and dairy products.

Organic farming seems to be a practical substitute that can address most of the issues brought on by traditional input-intensive cultivation. The necessity of organic farming for environmental preservation has been proven in the last few decades. Moreover, organic cultivation works in harmony with nature and not against it.

Organic Madhya Pradesh, an agri-startup, has the same mission and goal of promoting organic farming in India. The company focuses on organic farming by helping organic farmers get access to new markets, advanced farming methods, project development, and, contract farming.

The great mind behind Organic MP is Swapnil Shrivastava, who came up with the idea of opening this start-up which aims to promote organic farming as the foremost solution to solving all the on-ground issues faced by the farmers' community.

This successful start-up story goes way back to 2013 when young Swapnil of Narsinghpur district of Madhya Pradesh, right after passing his 12th standard Board Exams, decided to visit the ashram of his Guru- “Shri Shri 1008 Shri Dada Dharam Dhurandhar Daas Mahatyagi Maharaj Ji” of Digamber Akhada of Hanumangarhi Temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.

Guru Maharaj Ji mentioned the problems that farmers of our country encounter. Although farmers are called the “Anndaata” in India, the issues concerning them lay unaddressed. That is what made Swapnil curious about farming and he went on to ask several in-depth questions about issues related to farming, agriculture, health, and eating habits of our citizens. This situation brought an amazing change in his life and made him realize the importance of the agriculture sector.

Recalling his discussion with Guru Ji, Swapnil said, “It gives me immense pleasure to share that the inspiration to start Organic MP, comes from an extraordinary vision of the highly respected Guru Maharaj Ji of Narsinghpur, MP.”

He also mentions how blessed he feels to have been given the opportunity to gain knowledge from Guru Ji himself. He said that Guru Ji taught him the importance of Indian culture that pays the highest respect to the farmers, also called the “Anndaata” in our country.

He then decided to dedicate his life to providing a one-stop solution for farmers. After obtaining his postgraduate degree from EDII-Gandhinagar in June 2018, he returned home to achieve Guruji's vision.

He established Organic MP in August 2018 intending to promote organic farming as the most effective solution to all of the immediate problems that farmers are facing.

The founder of Organic MP, Swapnil Shrivastava, and his team have been trying to connect with as many farmers as they can to help them become self-reliant using the cooperative model, and help them export their organic products to different countries.

Since the beginning, Organic MP Team believed in the basic mantra of life “It all starts from small changes that become bigger with time. So, let’s start wherever we are, with whatever resources we have”.
