The Yogi Adityanath govt in Uttar Pradesh has agreed to compensate approximately 2 lakh farmers for crop losses caused by rainfall and floods in order to provide immediate help.
The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has agreed to compensate approximately 2 lakh farmers for crop losses caused by rainfall and floods in order to provide immediate help.
Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister, has instructed authorities to examine the damage caused by rain to crops such as paddy and sugarcane.
Approximately 2 lakh farmers have had their crops destroyed by the state's heavy rainfall and floods. Farmers would be compensated when the Revenue and Agriculture departments conduct a survey, he added.
According to a spokeswoman for the government, "Any farmer whose crop is destroyed should be paid as soon as possible according to the regulations. The Revenue and Agriculture Ministry’s should work together to accomplish this job as soon as possible."
In the rain-affected districts, the state government is implementing all necessary relief and restoration steps. Farmers whose agricultural product has been destroyed by floods will receive Rs 68 crore in compensation.
Along with compensation, previously on Monday, 11th Oct, BJP also decided to organize `Kisan Chaupals' in all 56,000-gram panchayats between October 15 and 30.
Party MPs, MLAs, and Uttar Pradesh ministers would attend Chaupals to inform farmers about different government initiatives established for their benefit.
On October 15, the Morcha resolved to organize Kisan Chaupals in all 98 organizational districts. The process will thereafter be carried out in 403 state assemblies and 27 thousand 'Shakti Kendras,' each with five to six booths.
The decision is significant for the BJP, which is in a bind after the arrest of Ashish Mishra, the son of junior home minister Ajay Mishra, in connection with the Lakhimpur incident. Senior BJP figures, including party MP Varun Gandhi, have raised the stakes in the aftermath of the event.
Farmers in west UP are protesting the new agriculture rules, putting the BJP under pressure.
