Cow Cabinet formed by BJP led Madhya Pradesh Government for Promotion and Protection of Cattle
The BJP led MP government has declared the first of its sort cow cabinet for the protection and promotion of cows. First cabinet meeting will be held on November 22, 2020 and will start at 12 afternoon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary, Agar Malwa.
The BJP led MP government has announced the first of its sort cow cabinet for the protection and promotion of cattles. The Forest, Animal Husbandry, Panchayat and Rural Development, Home and Farmers Welfare and Revenue departments will be a part of the same, said the state govt.
CM of the state, Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan went on to twitter for the announcement of the cabinet formation. He composed the government authority has chosen to set up the cabinet for the promotion and protection of cattle in the state.
The CM further confirmed that the first cabinet meeting will be held on November 22, 2020 and will start at 12 afternoon on Gopashtami at Gau Sanctuary, Agar Malwa.
A year ago, the Congress-driven Madhya Pradesh assembly had rolled out the anti-cow slaughter amendment Act 2019 to guarantee a prison term of half-a-year to three years and a fine of rupees 25,000 to 50,000 for those sentenced for carrying out violence for the sake of cows.
The altered law carried changes to the past cow slaughter Act 2004 passed by the BJP government. The revision had been made to keep a check on the developing cases of brutality in the name of safeguarding the cow, according to media reports.
As per the anti-cow slaughter Act 2004, nobody was permitted to move cattle through Madhya Pradesh state and special approval from a qualified authority was needed by the individuals who went through the state while moving their cows.
