E-Vaadagai; Now Farmers Can Register For Agri-Machineries Through This Mobile App

The chief minister announced a number of agriculture-related initiatives, including the payment of a 150.9 crore transitional productivity incentive and special incentive to 91,120 farmers who provided sugarcane to sugar mills.
In addition to the fair and remunerative price of 2,707.5 per tonne announced by the Centre, farmers would get a 192.5 per tonne cane price incentive. According to an official announcement, "the chief minister gave away the directives to five sugarcane growers as a token at the Secretariat."
Recently, the Tamil Nadu government has announced the TN Pongal Gift Scheme 2022 for the needy. The Tamilnadu government will distribute Pongal Gift Hampers to 2.15 million rice card users and Sri Lankan Tamils in rehabilitation centres as part of this programme. Raw rice, cashew nuts, dried grapes, cardamom, and other products will be included in each Pongal Gift Hamper. There will be no monetary component in the hamper this year.
The gift hampers will be delivered through fair pricing stores before the 14th of January 2022 as part of the Tamilnadu government's Pongal Gift Scheme 2022. The state government has set up Rs. 1,088 crore for the implementation of the PDS cardholder Gift Hamper scheme. The gift hampers would also be delivered to all Sri Lankan Tamils living in refugee camps, according to a G.O. issued in this respect.
Pongal is a sweet dish made using the ingredients supplied in the TN Pongal Gift Hamper Scheme. This Pongal gift is for the 2.15 crore families in the state who have a PDS ration card. The state government would spend Rs. 1,088 crore on Pongal gifts.
