Farmers in Telangana Asked to Apply for Rythu Bhima Scheme

Telangana farmers are asked to enroll for Rythu Bhima Schemes. The main objective of the Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme (Rythu Bima), is to provide financial relief and social security to the family members/ dependents, in case of loss of farmer’s life due to any reason.

The Telangana government has asked the farmers to register themselves for the Rs.5 lakh Rythu Bima Yojana for the policy year 2021-22. Farmers, who have registered agriculture land on their name as on 3rd August and those who could not register themselves, should apply for the scheme now. 

The farmers whose age is between 18 & 59 are eligible for Rythu Bima scheme. The age mentioned on the Aadhaar card will be taken into consideration. Eligible farmers must submit the application form themselves after signing. Besides this and passbook & Aadhar card of farmers and nominee must be submitted. 

About Rythu Bhima Scheme: 

The objective of Rythu Bima or Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme is to provide financial relief as well as social security to the family members or dependents, in case of loss of farmer’s life owing to any reason. In case of the loss of the farmer life, their family faces severe financial issues even for their day-to-day needs. Rythu Bima ensures financial security & relief to the bereaved members of the farmer’s family.

Eligibility of Rythu Bhima Scheme

Farmers in the age group of 18 - 59 years are eligible to apply for the scheme. The entire premium is paid by the government to LIC.

In the event of the death of the registered farmer due to any reason including natural death, the insured amount of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs is deposited into the designated nominee account within ten days.
