To help farmers in this pandemic, the government of Telangana has decided to give Rupees 7,300 crore monetary help under the all-new 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme from December 27 to January 7.
K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana had recently coordinated the authorities to guarantee that every single farmer in the state is furnished with financial help.
Recipients of the scheme will get the sum at the rate of Rupees 5,000 for each section of land per season straight into their bank accounts to purchase seeds, manures, pesticides, labour force and other ventures. The help will be given first to ranchers, who have less land holdings. All farmers ought to get help within a time frame of 10 days. This is going to be the second portion of the investment being given to ranchers in 2020. The principal portion was credited in the accounts of 50.84 lakh landholding farmers back in June 2020.
As per 2020-21 financial budget, Rs 14,000 crore was designated for RythuBandhu scheme. Also in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic, district authorities, horticulture division authorities and banks have been coordinated to make sure that farmers follow the COVID-19 standards while pulling out the sum delivered as per the RythuBandhu scheme from their respective accounts.
The individuals who can't visit banks, can pull out the sum from ATMs accessible at 4,860 post offices in provincial territories. The Telangana government had dispatched the plan back in 2018 with Rs 8,000 as support for investment per acre of land per crop. In 2019, the sum was expanded to Rs 10,000.
