Good News! Farmers To Get ‘Rythu Bandhu’ Benefits From June 28

Starting on June 28, farmers will receive their Rythu Bandhu amounts for the upcoming Kharif season. On Wednesday, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar instructions to begin depositing Rythu Bandhu benefits for the next "Vanakalam" crop investment into farmers' bank accounts.

According to a statement from the CMO, the government will deposit Rythu Bandhu  amounts in installments as it did in the past. To pay the roughly 63 lakh farmers in the state, the state government needs about Rs 7,500 crore. The State government borrowed Rs 4,000 crore from the open market on June 7 and is anticipated to receive another Rs 4,000 crore on June 28. 

Rythu Bandhu Samithi State President and MLC Palla Rajeshwar Reddy thanked the Chief Minister for the decision to deposit Rythu Bandhu funds and noted that this was being done despite numerous financial obstacles the Union government had erected. Rajeshwar Reddy recalled that after the Center declined to buy any Rabi paddy, the State government bought the entire crop.

In another instance, at the Rythu Bandhu Samithi office in Public Gardens, Agriculture Minister S. Niranjan Reddy opened a call center that will streamline the implementation of welfare schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bima and allow the government to collect input from farmers.

Three people will call each beneficiary to get their comments and inquire about any procedural delays in any of the schemes. It only has an outgoing call facility. In order to coordinate between the beneficiaries and the officials on any procedural issues, we will call and alert field officers directly. Beneficiaries will be asked for input on how they are using their insurance claims, among other things.

Every conversation's transcript would be given to the department for additional review, according to V Anand Rao, the call center's CEO, who spoke to Express.
