Good News for farmers as Haryana Govt provides subsidies for cultivation of Horticulture Crops

Efforts are being made by the government to make farmers self-reliant and also double their income. For this, the central and state governments are running various schemes at their respective levels. Among these schemes is the National Horticulture Mission. Under this scheme, up to 50 % subsidy is being provided by the Haryana government to the farmers for planting fruit orchards, cultivating flowers and producing vegetables.

Haryana Government's Plan Regarding Horticulture

With the aim of making the farmers self-reliant and promoting environmental protection, the Haryana government is trying to plant more and more saplings. The state government is providing 50 percent subsidy to farmers under the National Horticulture Mission. Haryana Government believes that farmers should start adopting modern farming so that the income of farmers can increase.

The cultivation of horticultural crops requires less expenditure & labor and still provides better returns. It is due to this reason, the Haryana government wants farmers to take up horticulture crops so that they can earn good profits.

Until recently, farmers were traditionally cultivating cotton, bajra, wheat, mustard etc. in their fields which does not fetch them good income. Due to this, farmers have started adopting modern farming instead of traditional farming.
