Good News: Rs.112.70 crore Deposited in Farmers’ Accounts under YSR Sunna Vaddi Scheme

In order to provide some relief to the distressed growers in Andhra Pradesh, the government will credit interest subsidy worth Rs.112.70 crore to over 6 lakh farmers under YSR Sunna Vaddi (zero-interest crop loan) scheme, in this Kharif season.

Since Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party came to power in AP, the government has credited the interest subsidy of Rs1183.09 crore to more than 69 lakh farmers so far. In the year 2019-20, the government had credited Rs 382.06 crore interest subsidy to over 19 lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh.

It must be noted that under the zero interest crop loan scheme, the government is paying an interest subsidy to those who repay their loans on time. 

It has provided Rs.6389 crore to 11,03,228 customers who have taken out loans for Rs.1 lakh. 6.67 lakh of them are eligible for zero interest loans, according to e-crop and scale of finance.

Also, the government has made modern agricultural machinery available to small and marginal farmers, with a subsidy of Rs.25.55 crore given to farmer organisations. Agricultural machinery worth Rs.2134 crore is being made available to farmers at the local level through 11,785 farmer organizations under this scheme.

The government bears Rs.854 crore, or 40%, of this in the form of subsidies, while farmer groups bear 10%, or Rs.213 crore. Banks have lent Rs.1067 crore of the remaining 50%. In this approach, the government is standing by to implement schemes that will assist the state's farmers.

In addition, the funds for the YSR Rythu Bharosa - PM Kisan scheme were given on Tuesday by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. From the CM camp office in Tadepalli, Rs.2190 crore has been virtually deposited in the accounts of farmers and farmer groups under the YSR Rythu Bharosa, YSR Sunna Vaddi and YSR Yantra Seva schemes.

Under the Rythu Bharosa- PM Kisan scheme, the government has deposited Rs.2052 crore in the accounts of 50.37 lakh farmers. 

On May 13, the government released Rs.3811.96 crore in the first tranche for the fiscal year 2021-22, and today it is paying Rs.2052 crore in the second tranche to 50.37 lakh farmers.
