Beware of Sharing Your Details In Insecure Sites

After the Launch of the PM - Kusum Scheme, it was discovered that some unofficial websites purported to be the PM-KUSUM scheme's registration gateway. Such websites deceive the general public by collecting money and personal information through bogus registration portals

This had led the MNRE to previously issue public notices dated 18.03.2019, 03.06.2020, 10.07.2020, 25.10.2020, and 10.01.2021 in which it was advised not to deposit the registration fee on any such websites and to be cautious about sharing any information on such websites in order to avoid any loss to the general public.

The PM-KUSUM Scheme, which is being implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), provides a subsidy for the installation of freestanding solar pumps and the solarization of agricultural pumps. The state governments' designated departments are in charge of implementing this system. The farmer must deposit his or her portion with the appropriate state government department. The MNRE website, www.mnre.gov.in, has information on these departments.

MNRE takes action after receiving information regarding such websites. Some new websites (such as https://www.kisankusumyojana-reg.org/ and http://kusumyojanaonline.com/) have recently claimed to be the registration gateway for the PM-KUSUM program.

Furthermore, WhatsApp and other platforms are being used to deceive potential recipients and solicit money. As a result, all potential beneficiaries and the general public are urged to refrain from putting money or personal information on such phony websites. It is also advised not to click on any unverified or dubious site claiming to be a PM-KUSUM registration page.

Information regarding eligibility for participation in the scheme and implementation process is available on the MNRE website http://www.mnre.gov.in and toll-free number 1800-180-3333.
