Haryana Budget: Nothing for Farmers, says Bharatiya Kisan Union's Charuni

According to Gurnam Singh Charuni of Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU), there is nothing in the Haryana state budget presented by the state government in the legislative assembly on Tuesday for farmers. Farmers' hands are once again empty as a result of Haryana's budget.

According to the farm union, no special provisions have been made in the budget to make the MSP and the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana effective.

According to BKU Charuni, either corporate farming or cooperative farming will be required in the future, but the government has indirectly promoted corporate farming by showing no interest in the cooperative farming budget.

According to BKU Charuni, no effective plan for tying the rainwater has been developed. "Rainy river water damages crops, whereas the same water, can be conserved during the rainy season and used in the future, but the government has made no policy for this," said BKU Charuni.

According to the farm union, no provision is made in the budget for the repair or construction of a new pucca water channel used for irrigation.

There is no mention of establishing a new grain market or market yard in the state, according to the report. "The Haryana budget is only announcements, allurement-filled talks, and lucrative promises for farmers," BKU Charuni said.
