PM Kisan 9th Installment: Steps to Check Updated Status, Rejected List and Correct Mistakes in Application Form

The Central government has deposited Rs 1.35 lakh crore in the bank accounts of around 11 crore farmers of India as the 8^th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Now, it is preparing to disburse the 9^th installment as soon as possible. But many farmers may not get Rs. 2000 as their application is not correct hence they must rectify the mistakes immediately.

Mistakes in applications of over 2 crore farmers

Under the scheme, the Central Government received 12.30 crore applications until July 13, 2021. But, out of these, more than 2 crore applications are not correct. Besides this, transactions of about 27.50 lakh farmers have failed & applications of 31.63 lakh farmers have already been rejected. Also details of 2.84 crore farmers of UP is yet to be corrected.

Government recovering money from ineligible beneficiaries

It has come to the notice that farmers who are not eligible for the scheme are also taking its benefit. A lot of complaints were received from different states. Hence, government has identified all the ineligible farmers and started taking action against them. Their names have also been removed from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Moreover, these farmers have been asked to return the money as soon as possible.

Small mistakes in the application that can stop your installment

• The name of beneficiary must be written properly in English.

• If your name in the form is written in Hindi then change it to English.

• Payment will also fail even if applicant’s name in the application is different from his name in bank.

• If there is a mistake in bank IFSC code or bank account number & village name then also your instalment will be stopped.

How to correct the errors

• In order to rectify mistakes made while applying for the scheme, you will have to visit the official website - pmkisan.gov.in.

• After that click the 'Farmers Corner' option.

• Now Click on 'Aadhaar Edit' option. Here you can update your Aadhaar details.

• But if you have filled wrong bank account number then you will have to contact the agriculture department office or the accountant to correct it.

Can a husband and wife together take benefit of PM Kisan

NO! The husband and wife cannot avail the benefit of PM Kisan. According to a report by Live Hindustan, if husband & wife are found taking the benefit of the scheme then the government will take strict action against them.
