PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana: How Farmers Can Get Rs. 36000 Yearly through This Government Scheme
To help farmers deal with financial problems during their old age, the Centre has introduced a pension scheme called Pradhan Mantri Kisan Mandhan Yojana in 2019. Under this pension scheme, farmers between 18 - 40 years of age can register & take the benefit.
Farmers go through many problems throughout their life including financial crisis, which becomes more difficult in their old age. To help farmers deal with all such problems in their old age, the Modi Government has launched a pension scheme known as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana in August 2019. Under this government scheme, farmers between 18 - 40 years of age can register and take monthly pension of Rs. 3000.
Till now, 21, 277, 59 farmers have registered under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maandhan Yojana. The pension scheme is for the old age protection as well as social security of small and marginal farmers having 2 hectares of land.
Under PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana, farmers will get assured pension of Rs. 3000 per month after completing the age of 60 years and if they die then their spouse will be entitled to receive 50% of the pension as family pension. Remember that a family pension is applicable only to the spouse.

Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture have made it clear that there will be no fees to register for PM-KMY. And if a farmer is already getting the benefit of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana then he will not have to submit separate documents for this pension yojana.
Under this pension scheme, you can opt to contribute directly from the benefits received from PM-Kisan scheme. This way, you will not have to spend money directly from your wallet.
If a contributor leaves the scheme within a period of less than ten years from the date of joining then his share of contribution would be returned to him with savings bank rate of interest payable thereon.
If a farmer wants to leave the scheme in between, then his money would not go waste. The amount that has been deposited till his departure will get interest equal to the savings account of banks.
Monthly contributions for PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana
Farmers have to make a monthly contribution of Rs.55 to Rs.200 and this amount will depend on their age of entry.
How to Register for PM Kisan Maandhan Yojana
There are two ways in which registration of PM Kisan Maandhan can be done;
The PM-KMY enrollment can be done through self-registration (website) or vis Common Service Centres in different states.

PM Kisan Mandhan Yojana Offline registration
Step 1 - Farmers who want to join the scheme will have to go to the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC).
Step 2 - Following are the things they will need for enrolment process: Aadhaar Card and Savings Bank Account Number with IFSC Code
Step 3 - Initial contribution amount in cash has to be made to the Village Level Entrepreneur.
Step 4 - He will fill in Aadhaar number, Name of subscriber and Date of birth as printed on aadhaar card for authentication.
Step 5 - He will also complete the online registration by filling up the other details.
Step 6 – After that system will auto-calculate monthly contribution payable according to the age.
Step 7 - Subscriber will pay the 1st subscription amount in cash to the VLE.
Step 8 - A unique Kisan Pension Account Number will be generated & Kisan Card will be printed.
