Rooftop Solar Systems: West Bengal Issued Empanelment Tender for 2 MW

Bengal Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals (BCPL) has issued a request for proposals for the empanelment of vendors to install grid-connected rooftop solar systems of 1 MW each at its Manicktala and Panihati factories on a build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) basis.

Site survey, planning, design, engineering, manufacture, supply, storage, civil work, erection, testing, and commissioning of grid-connected rooftop solar projects are all part of the scope of work.

In addition, bidders must provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) for a period of 15 years. The scope of work includes all aspects of successfully implementing a 1 MW grid-connected rooftop solar system for the company, ensuring net metering in accordance with government policies.

Bids must be submitted by April 13, 2022. On the same day, the bids will be opened.

Bidders must have had an annual turnover of ₹10 million ($131,478) in the previous three fiscal years. Bidders must either provide annual reports or submit a certified turnover certificate issued by a chartered accountant for the previous three fiscal years.

Bidders must have been in business for at least three years and completed at least three projects of a similar nature.

Empanelment will be valid for up to 5 years from the date of signing the agreement, with the option to renew on mutually agreed-upon terms. The bidder must begin work within one week of receiving the Letter of Acceptance.

The successful bidder will be responsible for providing all resources, information, and decision-making under its control in a timely manner in order to reach a mutually agreed-upon and finalized plan within weeks of the Letter of Acceptance being issued. All permits, approvals, and licenses required for contract performance must be obtained from all local, state, or national government authorities or public service authorities.
