Let me tell you that this year, Karan Vaishnavi variety of wheat is in high demand among farmers across the country. This variety was developed by the Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research Karnal.

It is important to mention that the Indian Institute of Wheat & Barley Research organizes a fair wherein farmers from all over the country come and buy quality wheat seeds. But, this time the fair was not organized due to the Corona pandemic.

The institute has taken a decision to deliver these seeds directly at the farmers' doorstep. For this, farmers have to register on the official website of the institute, after which the seeds will be sent to them.

Bumper Production in Less Time

  • Do you know that Karan Vaishnavi Variety of wheat is also known as DBW-303.

  • It is considered to be the most advanced variety of wheat.

  • This variety has been notified in the year 2021, and its specialty is that about 81.2 quintals of wheat yield is obtained per hectare.

  • At the same time, its average yield is 93 quintals per hectare.

Karan Vaishnavi Sowing

  • Farmer can sow this variety of wheat in the last week of October, as this time is considered to be most suitable for sowing this variety.

  • Its early sowing time is fixed from 25thOctober to 5th November

  • If the sowing of Karan Vaishnavi variety of wheat is done from the last week of October to the first week of November, then the crop will be ready for maturity in about 145 days.

  • With this, the farmers will get better & higher yield of the crop.
