Not only this, government also provides insurance for fish farming. Fishermen who want to borrow money from the bank through Kisan Credit Card must apply by February 15, 2022.

What Is Target of Fish Production By 2022-23

In her budget statement, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman mentioned the blue economy, stating that the government plans to produce 200 lakh tonnes of fish by 2022-23. By 2024-25, the government wants to expand fisheries exports to Rs 1 lakh crore.

Who Can Take Advantage of PM Matsya Sampada Yojana?

PM Matsya Sampada Yojana benefits fish farmers, fish sellers, farmer producer organizations, cooperatives, entrepreneurs and private firms, self-help groups, fisheries associations, fisheries development corporations etc. People who work in this field can take advantage of this opportunity. Under the Kisan Credit Card scheme, these people can get quick loan for fish farming.

Subsidy Available Under PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

For fresh water, brackish water, Bioflocs, there is a grant of 60% for Scheduled Castes, Women, and 40% for the general category under this scheme. In Haryana, the Fisheries Officer and Chief Executive Officer notified the media that applications for fisheries grants for the years 2021-22 are being accepted under this scheme. Farmers can apply till February 15.

Documents Required To Apply for PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

You will require the following documents for this:

  • Aadhar Card of the applicant.

  • Residence Certificate of the applicant.

  • Mobile number linked with Aadhar Card.

  • Copy of Bank Passbook for Bank Account Details.

  • Caste Certificate of the applicant.

  • Fisheries Card of the applicant

Procedure To Apply for PM Matsya Sampada Yojana

  • If you are a resident of Haryana then you have to apply for the application on Antyodaya Saral Portal.

  • If you live in Hisar, you can apply by visiting the fisheries department.

  • At the same time, if you visit the Fisheries Department located near Blue Bird Hisar, you can get all information related to the scheme there.

  • Similarly, fish farmers of other states can complete the application process by taking information from the fisheries department of their area.
