Holi Festival

Holi is the second biggest festival in India after Diwali. It is the festival of colors, sweets, and togetherness. During this festival, we all forget our griefs and hug each other with complete joy. Holi is the festival of positivity. It vanishes the negative thoughts and brings newness tothe mind as it is also the transition period of weather from winter to spring.

Why is Holi Important for farmers?

As we stated above, the transition time of weather means the time has come to harvest new crops. In some parts, the Holi celebration is called the “festival ofthe spring harvest.” Farmers celebrate the happiness because they have already refilled their farms with new crops before Holi comes. So, this is their relaxing time that they enjoy with colors and desserts.

When is Holi 2021?

India will celebrate Holi on 29 March, 2021 [Monday]. Whereas HolikaDahan willbe celebrated on 28 March, 2021.

How will Holi 2021 be for farmers?

As we all know, the most significant movement of 2020-21 is going on these days. Farmers are protesting against the three farmer bill amendments. It seems like farmers are not in the mood forthe Holi celebration this year as they are not happy from the inside.

The below questions arise:

  • Will the farmers be able to celebrate Holi 2021 in the middle of the protest?

  • Will the protest end before Holi?

  • Will the Government announce any good news for farmers before Holi?

As of now, there is no clue about any announcement and protest closure. We want the farmers to celebrate their Holi well.

Further, we are hoping that things will move in favor of the country and in the best interest of the farming community.
