Begin by considering what is really achievable for you in 2023, you could discover that creating resolutions might add a bright light to your year.

It goes without saying that New Year's is fun, whether you enjoy watching New Year's movies, having a family game night, or going out for a fancy party or night out. However, the shift of the calendar is also a great opportunity to take account of how your life is going and consider making resolutions for the coming year.

If you start by considering what is really achievable for you in 2023, you could discover that creating resolutions might add a bright light to your year. We've put up a list of 15 of our best ideas to help spark thoughts for what would be a suitable New Year's goal for you in 2023.

Go Outside

It is a known truth that spending time in nature helps people feel less stressed, even if you don't consider yourself to be the outdoorsy sort. So go for a hike (or simply a stroll), spend time with someone you love watching a sunrise or sunset, or walk your dog one more time around the park. The clean air will benefit you!

Grow Something

So, you lack a green thumb. Even though some people find gardening scary, start small. Consider trying your hand at cultivating indoor house plants, air plants, or even a container vegetable garden (who doesn't enjoy fresh herbs and grape tomatoes?).

Give Someone a Compliment

Go out of your way and offer someone a compliment, whether it's a coworker who just gave an excellent presentation or the girl you randomly see in public whose hair you like. This may be harder for certain people than others (introverts, we see you). Simple words of encouragement may make the recipient and you both feel better. Share your affection with your loved ones as well. It may have been some time since you complimented your partner on their eyes or told your child they are doing a great job.

Keep a Journal

Why not make 2023 the year that you truly start keeping a constant journal, whether it's to write about your day or to list your daily gratitude? You might be surprised at how this simple practice will enable you to save memories, communicate your feelings, and discover contentment.

Read a Book

If you enjoy reading, make a monthly commitment to reading one new book (or more). Don't you know? Reading is excellent for the brain, may reduce stress, and can help you focus and remember things better. We guarantee that your average screen time will drop!

Stay Hydrated

Another year has passed, and we are still hoping to drink more water. Start by switching 1-2 daily beverages to water. Perhaps you might substitute a glass or two of water for that second cup of coffee. 75 percent of us are chronically dehydrated. Take a sip!

Try Something New Every Month

Who says you have to stick to a single resolution? Set a goal to try something new and different each month to mix things up. If you're a foodie, you might want to try a brand-new restaurant, dish, or ingredient. You can even involve your friends and family.

Let go of grudges

It really would be good to start 2023 out fresh. Delete your hate. Anger is so 2022!

Take More Road Trips

You know all those locations on your travel wish list, right? Decide to cross one off your list in 2023! Although you may go almost everywhere by plane, driving gives you the chance to see views, cuisines, and landmarks that you would undoubtedly miss if you were 32,000 feet in the air.

Stay in Touch

There is no justification for failing to communicate with the people we care about. There are several methods to remain in touch while apart thanks to the availability of communication channels, including texts, phone calls, emails, and virtual get-togethers. Every week or so, make an effort to get in touch with a few people who aren't on your list of favorites.

Build a better budget

Committing to increasing your savings is the one New Year's resolution that will benefit you the most in the long run. Create a rough budget that works for you before you return to work in January and establish a strategy for how you'll keep to it.

Create a cleaning schedule

It might seem like a lot to expect to keep your house clean without doing what seems like a full clean every week. While it's possible that you're under cleaning certain terribly challenging areas, it's also possible that you're overcleaning some other areas.

Commit to a healthier sleep routine

Poor sleep is the root cause of so many problems. However, there is much more we can do to improve besides a regular bedtime. Everybody has a different schedule for when they need to be active and working throughout the day, so developing a plan to improve your sleep hygiene—the routines you do to obtain excellent sleep every night—might look different for you. The decisions you make during the day might affect cues that your brain uses to control your internal circadian rhythm. Take control of your sleep now!

Learn to love vegetables

Vegetables are your buddies whether you're trying to lose weight or get a balanced diet. Vegetables high in fiber are particularly important for heart health and vein strength.

Take the stairs

Need a good reason to take the stairs? Well, let’s just say, taking stairs instead of jogging helps you burn more calories, reduces the risk of stroke, improves cardiovascular fitness as well as strengthens your muscles.
