The year 2023 started with some top schemes and initiatives and positive changes introduced by the Central government. While it was already started last year, the challenges to overcome climate change, food and water scarcity, pandemics, and inflation are still going on. Regarding this, the government, NGOs, and industries have organized several events this year.

The 13th IWA International Conference on Water Reclamation and Reuse (15-19 Jan)

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) will be hosting the 13th IWA International Conference on Water Reclamation and Reuse, which will take place from January 15th to January 19th, 2023 in Tamil Nadu, Chennai.

The conference's central theme is "Water Reuse: Overcoming the Challenges of Growth and Climate Change," and it is intended to help with the creation of sustainable water reuse solutions through multidisciplinary collaboration and learning from the extensive experience already accumulated in countries around the world.

10th FICCI Safety Systems Excellence Awards for Industry (15 Jan)

Following nine successful editions, FICCI is now awaiting the launch of the tenth edition of its Safety Systems Excellence Awards. The Awards span the industries of construction, manufacturing (including oil and gas), mining, and power generation.

The awards would be granted to units/sites in appreciation of their dedication to workplace safety and the implementation of strong safety procedures throughout the organization.

The awards have pushed firms to implement best safety practices and systems in their sector, benchmarked against the finest in the industry, over the years.

India MedTech Expo 2023 (17-19 Jan)

The Government of India's Department of Pharmaceuticals is organizing a large-scale India MedTech Expo 2023 event on the Medical Devices industry in New Delhi, to highlight India's path and potential in the field.

The event will provide opportunities to network and explore collaborations for the sector's growth in India as well as its potential global contribution, bringing together all stakeholders such as PLI Participants, Start-ups, MSMEs, Innovative Entrepreneurs, R&D Facilities, Incubators, Public and Private Hospitals, and so on.

The event will be happening at Aerocity Exhibition Ground, New Delhi from January 17, 2023 - January 19, 2023.

EduMeet & Education Excellence Awards (18 Jan)

The National Educational Technology Forum (NETF) is intended to provide a forum for the open exchange of ideas on the use of technology to improve learning, evaluation, planning, administration, and other aspects of education at both the secondary and higher levels.

ASSOCHAM is dedicated to developing businesses and citizens through Bharat@100, and education is unquestionably crucial. Parallel sessions with topic experts and industry executives will be held throughout the event, with an emphasis on all verticals, including Higher Education, School Education, and Early Childhood Education.

The 6th Edition of The EduMeet & Education Excellence Awards is set to take place on 18th January 2023 at Assocham Headquarters, New Delhi.

South Asian Agri Summit 2023 (19 & 20 Jan)

Bharat Subcontinent Agri Foundation and Tefla's have taken the initiative to host the South Asia Agri Summit, an event on the shifting landscape of pulses, grains, dry fruits, and spices in South Asia, on the 19th and 20th of January, 2023 at the Soaltee Kathmandu.

This Summit's purpose is to rethink agriculture's future in the face of complex and developing issues. Look into new research, ideas, and technology that can help in the development of environmentally friendly food systems.

Future Of Mobility: India's Journey towards Net Zero (30 Jan)

On January 30, 2023, the FICCI Federation House in New Delhi will conduct a conference titled 'Future of Mobility: India's Journey Towards Net Zero'. Shri Nitin Gadkari, Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India, will open the conference.

The conference seeks to showcase strategies for constructing sustainable and connected urban transportation networks by harnessing technology. It will study the relevance of e-mobility in attaining India's Net Zero Emissions target and exploring alternative fuels for decarbonizing the transportation industry.

Stakeholder Consultation on Used Cooking Oil (UCO) for Sustainable Ecosystem (31 Jan)

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in collaboration with the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), will host a "Stakeholder Consultation on Used Cooking Oil (UCO) for Sustainable Ecosystem" on January 31, 2023, at the FICCI, Federation House, New Delhi.

The goal of this engagement is to bring together stakeholders to discuss the state of UCO, reuse, and disposal; the threat posed by UCO re-use within the food system; and options and opportunities that can be realized by using sectoral best practices that can serve as a roadmap for better UCO collection and management.

CSR and Sustainability Awards (31 Jan)

The National Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Awards were established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, to honor businesses that have improved society through their creative and long-lasting CSR initiatives. This honor signifies the pinnacle of CSR efforts in India.
