Curry leaves are highly beneficial for your health, it is not just a random food item but, it has been regarded as one of the best superfoods that people across the globe including in their diet. Rich in antioxidants, it can help in moisturizing the scalp & removing dead hair follicles. They are packed with beta-carotene & protein, which prevents hair loss & thinning of hair.  

Does curry leaves help hair growth?

Yes it does, below we have mentioned the amazing benefits of Curry Leaves for Hair;

Promotes Hair Growth

Curry leaves with fennel & rosewater helps in increasing the blood circulation in the scalp & stimulate hair growth. Rosewater nourishes scalps & the curry leaves prevent hair loss.

How to use it

  • Mix 1 tbsp of fennel seeds with 1 tbsp of rosewater & 5 – 6 curry leaves.

  • Blend well until it becomes a thick paste.

  • Apply on your hair from root to tip & let it sit for at least half n hour.

  • Rinse & wash it off using a mild shampoo.

Controls Dandruff 

It helps to control dandruff. Curry leaves have antifungal properties that help in reducing itchiness & dandruff, thus leaving you with a clean scalp and healthy hair.

How to use it

  • Soak 15 – 20 curry leaves in water for 20 minutes.

  • Crush them.

  • Add 2 tbsp of yogurt.

  • Mix & apply the mask to your hair.

  • Now wash your hair with lukewarm water after 30 to 40 minutes. 

Prevents Hair Loss

Besides promoting the growth of hair, it also helps in controlling hair loss. It helps in strengthening the hair follicles. These are rich in Vitamin B & several proteins that boost hair growth.

How to use it

  • Blend half a cup of curry leaves & hibiscus petals in a mixer.

  • Add a spoonful of water & make a paste.

  • Apply this paste onto your scalp & tresses and wash it off after 15 to 20 minutes.

Add Shine to Your Hairs

If you ever thought that curry leaves cannot add shine to your tresses, then you are wrong. As it is rich in several vitamins that can help you to attain shine.

How to use it

  • Heat up 3 tbsp of olive oil for a few seconds.

  • Add 8 – 10 curry leaves into it.

  • Once it cools down, massage this onto your scalp & hair.

  • Leave it for 2-3 hours & rinse off using a mild shampoo.

Helps with Dryness

Dryness makes the hair brittle & leads to breakage. Curry leaves act as a natural conditioner; it tackles the dryness by restoring moisture to your hair.

How to use it

  • Boil 5 – 10 curry leaves in one cup of water.

  • Turn off the heat & let it cool.

  • Once it cools down, then rinse your hair with it & bid abide by the frizziness!
