Dhanteras

Now only a few days are left for the festival of Diwali and Dhanteras. On Dhanteras, God of Wealth, Kubera, Goddess Lakshmi, Lord Dhanatantri and Yamraj are worshipped. It is considered auspicious to purchase gold-silver jewelry and home utensils. Shopping done on this day is believed to increase your property infinitely.

This year, the Trayodashi Tithi of Krishna Paksha of Kartik month will begin on Thursday, November 12, at 09:30 PM on the night of Thursday and end on Friday, November 13, 05:59 PM.

Buy these 5 things for wealth and prosperity:

Brass

If it is not possible for you to buy gold and silver on Dhanteras, then you can celebrate the festival by purchasing a brass item on this day. Brass metal is considered as most auspicious after gold and silver.

Akshat

Akshat i.e. paddy/rice is said in the scriptures is also very auspicious. Akshat means an infinite increase in wealth.

Barley (Jau)

In mythological beliefs, barley is considered as Kanak. Kanak means gold. Buying barley on Dhanteras gives the same results as buying gold. Therefore, buying and bringing barley on the day of Dhanteras gives the same fruit. Therefore, it is considered as auspicious. If you are unable to bring gold and silver this time, you can buy barley.

Coriander

Buying coriander on the day of Dhanteras is considered very lucky. It is believed to indicate an increase in wealth. On the day of Dhanteras, we should bring coriander and offer it to Goddess Lakshmi and should also sow some of it in a pot. It is believed that if the coriander plant is grown after sowing it, then it remains prosperity in your house throughout the year.

Broom

Boom is considered to be the form of Goddess Lakshmi and says that bringing the broom home is like bringing Maa Lakshmi home. It is believed that mother Lakshmi enters your house by bringing the broom home on the day of Dhanteras. With a broom, we clean our house and remove all the negativity of the house. Hence the importance of broom is considered very special.

May this Dhanteras Light up new dreams, fresh hopes, undiscovered avenues, and different perspectives, everything bright & beautiful and fill your days with pleasant surprises and moments. Happy Dhanteras !!
