Foods rich in Vitamin-C can help you in improving immunity levels and is also good for the skin. Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has recently suggested a number of these plant-based foods that you simply can include in your diet for a healthy lifestyle. 

Vitamin - C rich health foods to boost immunity and healthy skin as per FSSAI 

Amla: Consistent with journal Contemporary Clinical Trials Communications researches have shown that the Indian Gooseberry helps to improve blood fluidity and reduces biomarkers of oxidative stress. 

Oranges: Consistent with Healthline, these are known to possess a low Glycemic Index (GI) and are an honest source of fibre, Vitamin-C, and minerals like thiamine, folate, and potassium. 

Papaya: Papaya is additionally an honest source of fibre and low in calories. It detoxifies the body and eases movement helps prevent digestive disorders like bloating and indigestion. 

Capsicum: These bell-shaped peppers are highly rich in Vitamin C and other antioxidants, alongside Vitamins E and A, fibre, and minerals. Studies have shown that it improves eye health thanks to the presence of antioxidants and prevents anaemia. 

Guava: Guavas are rich in potassium and fibre; they improve blood glucose levels and boost heart health. Guavas relieve painful symptoms of menstruation like cramps too. 

Lemon: Lemons are known to assist with weight loss, improve heart and digestive health. The acid in lemon helps prevent kidney stones.
