Urad dal, called split Black Gram in English, is one of the famous pulses used in the southern part, mainly in Indian cuisine. Urad dal has many health benefits as it is rich in proteins and vitamins. Together with its advantages, it's excellent in taste and can make a variety of dishes. If you plan sowing of a Black gram, then February third week to April first week is better for sowing seeds. In Tamil Nadu, the sowing period is from September to November.

  • Keeps Heart Healthy: Urad dal contains a high quantity of fibre, magnesium, and potassium that are exceptionally beneficial for our heart health. The potassium improves the blood circulation of your body and helps in preventing damage to the arterial walls.
