Following the path to achieve our goals, “We at Bayer have reached out to over 4,00,000 smallholder farmers and migrant labourers across India through our ‘Better Farms, Better Lives’ initiative and making a small effort to bring smile on faces of our brothers and sisters going through distressed situation,” said Ajeet Chahal Commercial Unit Lead at Bayer Crop Science.

He added, in UP we have planned to distribute 50,000 Smallholder kits of Rice, Corn and Vegetable crops. We are supporting each farmer with a free Better Life Farming care package, consisting of our hybrid seeds, crop protection products as well as face masks and PPE kits. We are placing special focus on women smallholders and migrant labourers who have returned to their villages and plan to farm in their family land. Our aim is to drive long-term capacity building and strengthen the livelihoods of impacted smallholder communities.

Nothing can be better than helping our smallholder farmers and migrant labourers at this challenging time, said Ajeet Chahal.

Bayer believes every investment in innovation should also be an investment in sustainability. Our company is equally committed to help reduce our environmental impact, as well as improving the lives of smallholder farmers. The long-term success as a company lies not in selling more products but in providing farmers with the best tools and solutions so they can achieve better harvests using less water, land, and energy.
