Bharat Certis AgriScience Ltd. (BCA) launched Soil testing initiative among farmers at village Surana, Tahsil Shahpura, District Jaipur, Rajasthan as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. BCA will deploy 35 such soil testing facilities across the country in the coming weeks, benefiting over 10,000 farmers in the first year alone. This is yet another example of BCA's long-standing dedication to the farming community.

At an event in Surana, the Soil Testing Laboratory was dedicated to the farming community. Farmers were also given soil health cards. 70 farmers from the village attended this event.

BCA will offer free soil testing for 14 soil parameters, including pH, EC, macro, and micronutrients. Company officials will conduct the testing using a soil testing minilab certified by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR). Based on the parameters, the machine will recommend fertilizer for 100 crops and issue farmers with a soil health card.

Officials from the company will train farmers on the proper method of soil sampling and how to use the information on the soil health card to ensure balanced fertilizer use. Balanced fertilizer use, as is well known, is the first step toward scientific agriculture.

It enables farmers to provide the best nutrition for their plants while minimizing waste and avoiding crop losses due to nutrient deficiencies.

Soil testing also assists farmers in detecting problematic soils early and making specific recommendations. Soils become deficient in organic matter as organic manures are used less frequently. Soil testing assists farmers in addressing this deficiency.

Bharat Certis Agri Science Ltd. (BCA), formerly known as Bharat Insecticides Ltd., is a subsidiary of Japan's Mitsui & Co., Ltd. It offers farmers high-quality agrochemicals and services.

BCA has a pan-India presence and offers a diverse range of products to farmers through a network of 26 warehouses, 4,000+ distributors, and a large number of retailers. BCA's Agronomist team works closely with farmers to provide crop protection advice, allowing them to increase yields.
