eBay Signs MoU with MPIDC to Drive their e- Commerce Export Business
As a part of the MoU, eBay in India will conduct training, webinars, and workshops to educate Madhya Pradesh Industrial Units. The main objective is to enable the units to do better business with audiences across the globe while offering them a deep understanding of e-commerce retail exports opportunities.
eBay, a global commerce leader that connects millions of buyers and sellers, signed an MoU with MP Industrial Development Corporation Ltd. (MPIDC). The MoU will facilitate Madhya Pradesh’s Industrial Units to start and expand their online export business on eBay Marketplace Websites.
As a part of the MoU, eBay in India will conduct training, webinars, and workshops to educate Madhya Pradesh Industrial Units. The main objective is to enable the units to do better business with audiences across the globe while offering them a deep understanding of e-commerce retail exports opportunities.
The sessions will focus on policies, best practices in product listings, selling, shipping, and customer services, along with raising awareness on the latest cross-border trade market studies, design trends, and the standards to follow.
eBay India will assist Madhya Pradesh Industrial Units with the sign-up process on the brand’s marketplace and provide end-to-end support with onboarding procedures. The businesses will be part of special programs on the platform which will enable them to set-up stores as well as promote their products to global buyers.
The e-commerce leader will also introduce third-party service providers (for product imaging, creating catalogs, etc.) which can be availed by the industrial units from time to time.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon, Minister, Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion at the “Madhya Pradesh Trade Conference-2022” event organized in Bhopal on March 24, 2022. It was signed by John Kingsly, IAS, Export Commissioner and Managing Director of MPIDC, and Vidmay Naini, eBay Country Manager - India and SEA.
