Cultino Agrotech Pvt. Ltd, the company behind the Agritech startup Krishi Network, announced on Tuesday that it has acquired the agriculture-focused edtech platform Rocket Skills for an undisclosed sum. In February, the company hired actor Pankaj Tripathi as its brand ambassador, and he also invested in the platform for an undisclosed sum, according to VCCircle.

Krishi Network intends to expand its operations and ground presence with farmers as a result of this acquisition. In addition, the company intends to gradually rebrand Rocket Skills as Krishi Safal and launch another agri-focused platform called Krishi Plus.

"After acquiring Rocket Skills, we will provide training to farmers based on their interest in farming sectors, as well as assistance to those who want to start their own businesses." This acquisition will also help us meet our revenue target, which will allow us to expand our ground presence with farmers," said Ashish Mishra, co-founder of Krishi Network.

Krishi Network, founded by IIT Kharagpur alumni Mishra and Siddhant Bhomia, leverages growing rural internet penetration to create a platform that improves farmers' access to information and allows them to generate higher profits from their land.

Mohit Jain and Vibhu Bahuguna founded Rocket Skills in 2020. The platform's goal is to provide entrepreneurs and small businesses with resources to help them get started.

The startup focuses on agri-entrepreneurs working in MSMEs by providing them with courses designed by industry experts.

Rocket Skills raised Rs 2.2 crore in a pre-seed round led by Better Capital, First Cheque, and Titan Capital in August of last year.

"We founded Rocket Skills to teach farmers modern farming techniques and assist them in increasing production or starting their own businesses." We are now closer to achieving that vision thanks to Krishi Network's distribution and team," said Mohit Jain, co-founder of Rocket Skills.
