Pepper Farms- An Agritech Startup Raised $1m in Seed Round

Agritech start-up Pepper Farms has raised $1 million in early funding led by AxilorVentures and Aspiring Minds Co-Founder Himanshu Aggarwal. Pepper Farms helps farmers organise the vegetable production lifecycle- from plantation to harvesting and sales.

The Gurugram-based company, founded by Saurabh Singla, an IIT Guwahati alumnus, and Shalini Aggarwal, a chartered accountant, is establishing a network of farms with end-to-end virtual administration, bespoke agronomy, and direct market links.

The produce is sold daily at APMC mandis (Agriculture Produce Market Committee), e-retail, modern retail, and restaurants by the start-up.

"In the following 12 months, we plan to add 1,000 acres to Pepper Farms' production." With our agronomy, operations, and marketing methods, we hope to disrupt the farming business by multiplying yields and financial returns with strong traction from farmers and landowners," stated Saurabh Singla, Co-Founder and CEO of Pepper Farms.

Prof. Tarun Khanna (Harvard Business School), Raman Uberoi(ex-COO CRISIL), Sunil Kalra (Via Projects) and Rahul Jain (Co-Founder of Epigamia) also joined this investment round.
