Sona Machinery, the undisputed leader in the agro-processing machinery industry, recently participated in the Mookambika Rice & Grains Tech Expo 2022 to showcase the differentiation and value that its solutions can deliver to agri-adjacent businesses.

Hosted at Miller High School Ground in Patna, Bihar, on 23-25, September 2022, the event was attended by agrifoods co-operatives such as Bihar State Rice Millers Association and Uttar Pradesh Rice Millers Association, as well as over 85 exhibitors from Karnataka, Telangana, Haryana, Delhi/NCR, West Bengal, and Punjab.

At the event, Sona Machinery and its subsidiaries such as Can Engineering Solutions showcased how attendees can utilize their offerings, from state-of-the-art agro-processing equipment to turnkey rice mill and grain processing solutions, to improve profitability, increase efficiency, and maximize yields. The Sona Machinery showcase received a stellar response from various agri-associated businesses, such as Bihar State Rice Millers Association and Federation of All India Rice Millers Association, which were keen to explore how their output can be optimized with minimal manpower while meeting the global standards of quality and efficiency.

Speaking at the event, Vasu Naren, Managing Director & CEO, Sona Machinery, said, “Bihar, as one of India’s most prolific food-producing states, is now ramping up its agrifoods and produce-dependent ecosystem. The state government, for instance, recently outlined its plan to provide support and subsidy for setting up 1,000 rice mills of 4 tonnes per hour capacity.”

“This event takes that conversation forward and enables millers and grain processing players to explore newer technologies and solutions that can help them improve their operational efficiency, minimize losses, and achieve optimum profitability. We are delighted with the response that we have received and look forward to helping businesses achieve better outcomes,” he added.
