Sandeep Navlakhe, who played a pivotal role in overseeing the construction of India's new Parliament building, has stepped down from his significant position as the Executive Vice President of Tata Projects Ltd.

Navlakhe was in charge of the buildings, factories, and airports business unit within the company. His departure was confirmed through an official statement, which highlighted his instrumental contribution to the successful completion of the new Parliament structure.

Navlakhe, an alumnus of BITS Pilani, possesses an extensive 32-year background in the construction industry. Prior to his tenure at Tata Projects, he had dedicated over two decades to Larsen and Toubro (L&T). His expertise encompassed a wide range of skills, including tendering, planning, execution, and a strong commercial acumen.

Notably, he tendered his resignation around two months prior to his departure date of August 21, 2023, marking his final day as the Executive Vice President of Tata Projects.

In explaining his decision, Navlakhe cited the allure of "better growth opportunities" as the driving factor. While he declined to elaborate further on his resignation or future prospects, sources within the industry confirmed the timeline of his departure.

Noteworthy projects under his leadership included the greenfield Prayagraj Airport, India's pioneering maritime museum, the first-of-its-kind smog tower, various tall residential towers, and the significant Puri Parikrama Project.

Tata Projects holds a prominent position as a leading technology-driven engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm in India. With Navlakhe's departure, the company will transition to a new phase, leveraging its expertise to continue delivering impactful infrastructure projects across the nation.
