10-Day Scientific Goat Farming Training Commences at KVK Delhi

The Krishi Vigyan Kendra Delhi has started a comprehensive 10-day training program aimed at empowering farmers in goat farming techniques. The event, which commenced on April 18 and will conclude on April 28, 2024, gathered over 30 enthusiastic trainees from states including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra.

Dr. D.K. Rana, Head of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), highlighted the importance of goat farming in the context of Delhi's climate. He welcomed the participants and highlighted the symbiotic relationship between agriculture and goat farming, stressing that scientific methods and government initiatives can significantly boost profits for farmers in this sector.

Kailash, renowned for his expertise in agricultural extension registration and pre-evaluation, engaged in a detailed discussion with farmers about various activities related to goat farming. His insights provided valuable perspectives on integrating modern techniques into traditional practices.

Dr. J.P. Godara, a distinguished specialist in animal husbandry, led sessions on foundational principles essential for launching successful goat farming enterprises. He elaborated on key starting points and strategies to leverage goat farming as a lucrative business opportunity, emphasizing sustainable practices and market insights.

The training program was further enriched by the active participation of specialists including Dr. Ritu Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Brijesh Kumar, Ramsagar, and the entire technical team from KVK. Their guidance and expertise covered various topics crucial for the participants' understanding and application of goat farming techniques.

Throughout the sessions, participants were acquainted with various activities and government schemes facilitated by KVK to support goat farmers. Dr. Rana and his team highlighted the role of technology and innovative approaches in optimizing goat-rearing practices for enhanced profitability.
