12th Bengaluru India Nano Event to Be Held from 7th -9th March 2022
The summit will witness participation of over 2,500 registered delegates. The event consists of a multi-track conference where 75 national and international speakers will deliver lectures.
The 12th edition of the Bengaluru India Nano with ‘Nanotech for Sustainable Future’ as its central theme will be held from March 7 to 9 and will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, according to Karnataka Minister for Electronics, IT, BT, and Science & Technology, Dr. C N Ashwatha Narayana.
"Due to the pandemic, many national and international experts are unable to physically participate in the event, prompting us to plan the event virtually," Narayana added. We are fortunate that the event is being organized by Bharat Ratna Prof CNR Rao, the Honorary Chairman of the Nanotechnology Vision Group. I'm particularly pleased that our Global Innovation Alliance (GIA) partners — Canada, Germany, Israel, Japan, and North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) — conducting a session each.”
"We want to accelerate the journey from the lab to the market, and we're focused heavily on industries," he added. This event serves as a showcase for cutting-edge innovation and provides numerous opportunities for start-ups, SMEs, and businesses from a variety of industries."
The Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology, and Science and Technology, as well as the Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society and the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, will organize the three-day event.
Over 2,500 registered delegates are expected to attend the summit. The event includes a multi-track conference with 75 national and international speakers delivering lectures over 25 sessions, exhibitions with over 40 companies showcasing nanotech products, services, and innovation, and poster sessions with over 150 young researchers displaying their research.
On this occasion, a number of awards will be presented, including the Prof CNR Rao Bengaluru India Nano Science Award, the Bengaluru India Nano Innovation Award, the Nano Excellence Awards, Karnataka DST Nanoscience Fellowships, and the Nano for the Young programme for graduate students; NanoSparX for Start-Up Pitching, B2B Partnering, and the first-ever National Nanotech Quiz.
"The theme for this year's event is Nanotech for Sustainable Future," said Prof Navakanta Bhat, Chairman of the Karnataka Vision Group on Nanotechnology. We seek to allow innovations concentrating on sustainable future for the decades to come. This is something that young people can do. As a result, we offer numerous engaging workshops for young people, such as Nano for the Young and the National Nanotech Quiz."
Prof. Ajay Sood, Chairman of the Conference Executive Committee-Bengaluru India Nano 2022, stated that the conference sessions will focus on the application of nanotechnology in various sectors such as medicine, manufacturing, electronics, hydrogen economy, food, and agriculture, textile, etc.
Dr. EV Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Commerce & Industries, stated of the event, "After IT, biotech, and deep tech, we believe nanotech is the future technology. That is why the state government began hosting this event in 2007, and we are honored to host the 12th edition this year. This event serves as a global forum for the confluence of research, academia, and industry to investigate the developing potential in this emerging industry."
