4-Day All India Farmers’ Fair Starts Today in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand

In the fair, small machines and equipment of farm mechanization suitable to hilly areas will be showcased by the university and many other firms. Information regarding the scientific methods of Kharif paddy, maize, tur, moong, urad, soybean and vegetables, etc. from the university will also be displayed. Under this, the farmers will be made aware and encouraged.

Meet Krishi Jagran Team at 111th All India Farmers’ Fair

The 111th four-day All India Kisan Fair and Agro-Industrial Exhibition will be inaugurated at 11 am on Thursday in Pantnagar. The fair will be inaugurated by the program's Chief Guest, Rajpal Singh, Chairman of the Farmers Commission, and Dehradun's progressive farmer, Paramvir Singh Sirohi.

The fair will be formally inaugurated at Gandhi Hall, according to Director of Communications Dr. Anil Sharma. Before that, we'll go to a research centre, an agricultural information centre, a modern agricultural machinery exhibition, stalls selling advanced seed plants, an agro-industry exhibition, and a documentary show.

According to him, very limited arrangements for night stays in the fair have been made in light of the pandemic. At the same time, traditional cultural programmes in Gandhi Hall have been cancelled, and attendees have been advised to bring hand sanitizer and masks.

Highlights of Fair:

  • Exhibition and competition of fruits, flowers, vegetables and preserved substances in the fair courtyard on March 24 & 25.

  • The auction of Shankar girls will be held at Academic Dairy Farm Nagla from 2 PM to 25 March.

  • The fish production exhibition and competition will be held on March 25 at 3 pm.

  • Animal exhibition and competition Cow Buffalo Veterinary and Animal Science College will be held on 26th March from 10 am.

  • Documentary show from March 24 to 26.

  • Closing and prize distribution will be held on March 27 at Gandhi Hall at 3 PM.
