The DA arrears for Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554, while they range from Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900 for Level-13

Pensioners and central employees might soon hear encouraging news. Actually, a large sum will once more be deposited into the accounts of the workers. Regarding 18 Months of DA Arrears, the government will decide soon.

We want to let you know that this time, there will soon be an announcement about the dearness allowance arrears of government employees who have been stuck for 18 months, and a time has also been established for negotiations with the cabinet secretary. Both employees and retirees are looking forward to getting good news from the current government.

The government has not yet answered to the central employees' ongoing demands for their overdue DA for the previous 18 months. If the government owns up to the demand of central employees on getting the DA arrears under the 7th Pay Commission, there will actually be a sizable decrease in the account of the central employees. This is the reason behind the employees' ongoing push on their demands.

So how much amount will be transferred to the employees' accounts? According to Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM, different employees have different arrears.

The DA arrears for Level-1 employees range from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554, while they range from Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900 for Level-13 (7th CPC Basic Pay-Scale) employees or from Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 for Level-14 (Pay-Scale) employees.

However, the arrears of dearness allowance have not yet been given to the employees during that time. It is important to note that the federal government increased the dearness allowance after the Corona period by 11% from July 1, 2020. In other words, the workers did not get their unpaid arrears.

Last year, it was reported to the Finance Ministry that instead of freezing the dearness allowance, arrears would not be paid. On the other hand, as a result of the organizations' demands, the pressure on the government keeps growing. The central staff dearness allowance has currently increased from 34% to 38%.

Employees and pensioners are hopeful that the government would make a decision soon as a result of the rising rate of inflation.

4% DA Hike:

Government employees will receive a 4 percent raise in base pay if the DA is raised. An employee's compensation will increase by Rs 720 per month with a 4% DA hike. On the other hand, the average monthly increase in the maximum basic salary for employees will be Rs. 2276. Employees are hopeful after the Labour Ministry made the AICPI figures public.
