7th Pay Commission Latest News: Great news for Central Government Employees as their pending DA arrears of 18 months will finally be released in the month of March. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi government has the option of increasing the Dearness Allowance by 3% before Holi.  

As per several media reports, the central government employees will receive their complete income, including DA arrears, in the month of March. This Dearness Allowance arrears will be for the month of January & February salaries.

JCM Mentioned DA Arrears of Level – 1, 13 & 14 Pay Scales

Shiv Gopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM was mentioned in an earlier report, saying that the DA arrears of Level-1 employees varied from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554.

Employees at Level-13 (7th CPC basic pay scale Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) or Level-14 (pay scale) will owe Rs 1,44,200 and Rs 2,18,200 in DA arrears, respectively.

If the Union Cabinet approves it, the linked benefits will be extended to central government employees as well as nearly 65 lakh retirees. 

Increase in DA Allowance to 34%

The overall Dearness Allowance (DA) is currently 31%, however it may climb to 34% in the future. The DA will rise to 34% as a result of the government's increase of 3%. It will be introduced on January 1, 2022, and employees will be able to receive the allowance for the months of January and February, as well as wage arrears for the month of March.

About DA Hike

Central government employees currently receive a Dearness Allowance of 31%. After a months-long halt in the allowance owing to the pandemic, the most recent increases were issued in July and October 2021.

In October, the Union Cabinet raised the dearness allowance and dearness relief by 3% to 31%, benefiting 47.14 lakh Central Government employees and 68.62 lakh retirees.
