Agripreneurship Development Program on ‘Soil Testing & Water Quality Assessment’ to be Held from 02 to 09 July 2025
ZTM & BPD Unit and ICAR-IARI are conducting an 8-day training on Soil Testing & Water Quality Assessment for agripreneurs. The program offers hands-on skills, entrepreneurship promotion, and use of advanced instruments. Registration open till 1 July.
ZTM & BPD Unit, together with the Division of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, is organizing a training program on ‘Soil Testing and Water Quality Assessment’ from 2nd to 9th July 2025.
Objectives of the Training:

To improve the awareness and skills of the participants in modern techniques of soil and water analysis.

To familiarize participants with the use of state-of-the-art instruments and their upkeep/maintenance.
-
To enable participants to acquire skills in data analysis, interpretation, and report/recommendation formulation.

To promote entrepreneurship in soil and water testing.
Outcomes of Training:
Upon completion, participants will:

Gain hands-on experience in soil testing and water quality analysis.

Obtain practical exposure to the Pusa STFR meter, a key tool for rapid and accurate soil health assessment.

Learn the handling and maintenance of laboratory equipment used in soil and water analysis.

Get acquainted with fertilizer and amendment recommendation protocols.
-
Be equipped to set up soil testing labs and start their own agri-enterprises, especially beneficial for self-entrepreneurs aiming to establish soil testing facilities in rural areas.
