Agro Chem Federation of India Organized 4th Annual General Meeting on September 24

Agro Chem Federation of India organized the 4th Annual General Meeting today at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi. The theme of this annual general meeting would be “Plant Protection Chemicals: The Basic Requirement for Sustainable Agriculture”. The registration for this event was opened at 11 am for the attendees.

Agro Chem Federation of India organized the 4th Annual General Meeting today at Hotel Le-Meridien, New Delhi. The theme of this annual general meeting is Plant Protection Chemicals: The Basic Requirement for Sustainable AgricultureThe registration for this event was opened at 11 am for the attendees. 

Plant Protection Chemicals play an important role in Indian Agriculture. India suffers from huge losses due to crop damage due to pest infestations, nutrition deficiencies among others. In such a situation, Plant Protection Chemicals provide a cost-effective way of improving the yield & quality of the produce.  

Judicious use of Crop Protection Chemicals supports sustainable farm management & delivers socio-economic benefits to meet the challenges of feeding an ever-growing population. Therefore, a proper balance is to be maintained to attain sustainability in agriculture. 

The event will also include the inauguration of the book on “Approved and Registered Plant Protection Chemicals in India, 2021 Edition-II” 

Event Highlights: 

The event started at 11.30 am with the Lamp Lighting ceremony. The event was addressed & graced by dignitaries from across the Industry. Kailash Chaudhary, Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare was the Guest of Honor for this Program. 

N K Agarwal, President, ACFI gave the welcome & opening remarks and Dr. Srinivas Karavadi, Bayer CropScience Ltd explained the whole theme of the program 'Plant Protection Chemicals: The Basic Requirement for Sustainable Agriculture'. 

Special address was given by Dr. SC Dubey, Assistant Director General (PP), ICAR, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, S K Malhotra, Agriculture Commissioner & Chairman, Registration Committee, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare and  Kailash Chaudhary, Guest of Honor & Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. 

Finally, the vote of thanks was conveyed by Parikshit Mundhra, General Secretary, ACFI.
