FoSCoS is developed with a thought to provide a common point towards all commitment of a food business administrator (FBO) with the division for any regulatory compliance exchange.

Food regulatory body, FSSAI said that the Food Safety Compliance System (FoSCoS) will get operational in the whole nation from November 1 2020. The framework is operational in nine States/ Union Territories namely Tamil Nadu, Delhi, Gujarat, Odisha, Chandigarh, Goa, Manipur, Puducherry and Ladakh since June.

"FSSAI is currently prepared to stretch out FoSCoS to the whole nation from the 1st  of November 2020," the controller said in an announcement. It also commented that since 2011, its online FLRS (Food Licensing and Registration System) is the spirit behind all of the licensing ecosystem. FLRS is operational in all the states of the country and 70 lakh licenses/enlistments have been given till date while more than 40 lakh licensees/registrants are effectively executing transactions on it.

"FSSAI is dispatching its cloud based, updated new food safety compliance online platform called FoSCoS, (URL: https://foscos.fssai.gov.in). It will supplant the current FLRS (URL https://foodlicensing.fssai.gov.in)," the announcement said.

FoSCoS is conceptualized to give one guide stop toward all commitment of a food business administrator (FBO) with the division for any regulatory compliance exchange.
