Amazon Kisan Store Now Live: Farmers Can Buy, Seeds, Equipment, and More
Amazon has launched a new store meant exclusively for farmers called the Kisan Store. It is a combined initiative of Amazon and the Government of India. Farmers can buy seeds, equipment, and other farming-related products in five Indian languages including Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Kannada.

Doorstep Delivery of Agricultural Products
Amazon is offering Indian farmers a single marketplace for all their agricultural requirements through Kisan Store. It would include seeds, farm tools and accessories, plant protection, and a number of other products. They would be delivered directly to the farmers. Various payment methods are also accepted. Farmers can opt for cash on delivery, Net banking, UPI, Amazon Pay, or Debit and Credit Cards.
Offline Stores
Farmers who prefer not to shop online can shop at Amazon’s offline store. There are more than 50,000 Amazon Easy stores in India. There, farmers can go through the product, select, create an Amazon account, and place their order.
Launch
The store was launched by Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. He said that he was hopeful that Amazon Kisan Store would align with the policies of the Government of India. He also stressed that such facilities would improve the quality and quantity of production of the farmers' products.
“It gives me immense pleasure to launch Amazon Kisan Store,” the Minister said, “I hope this initiative proves to be beneficial for the farmers and the people associated with the farming community to engage the Indian farmers in the modern era of digital economy, increase the productivity of agricultural produce, provide services like logistics industry.”
Speaking on the launch of the store, Amit Agarwal, Global Senior VP and country head of Amazon India said that the launch was the company's first step in creating an ecosystem for farmers which will help them get their farming necessities delivered at their doorsteps.
