The Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture (AIOA), under the aegis of Amity University, conducted a transformative Industry-Academia Meet on December 21, 2023. The gathering focused on the objective of 'Recent Trends in Smart Agriculture for Nutritional, Food, and Economic Security.'
Experts from academia and the agriculture industry, engaged in a rooted exchange of ideas and innovative approaches to shaping the future of agriculture.
Dr Sangeeta Pandey, Joint Coordinator, Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture, expressed the institute's commitment to fostering collaboration between academia and industry during the welcome address at the annual event. Her statement emphasized the institute's pivotal role in bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, showcasing a dedication to nurturing partnerships that drive innovation in organic agriculture.
The students experienced a wealth of knowledge with two captivating sessions that encouraged the younger generation to embrace agripreneurship.
MC Dominic, founder and editor-in-chief of Krishi Jagran, shed light on the crucial role of agri-media. He underscored the historically overlooked significance of agriculture, noting that the sector has lacked dedicated advocacy through agri-media. He emphasized that agriculture should receive the attention that it deserves, there is a pressing need for a robust agricultural media platform, which led to the creation of India's prominent agri-media house, Krishi Jagran.
