Anupriya Patel Assumes Role as Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilizers

Anupriya Patel assumes the role of Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, pledging to advance PM Modi's vision for a developed India by 2047.

Anupriya Patel officially took on the role of Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers on June 11, 2024, at Shastri Bhawan. In her address to the media, Patel expressed heartfelt gratitude to PM Modi for the opportunity to serve in this capacity.

She emphasized her commitment to contributing towards the Prime Minister’s vision of a developed India by 2047, a goal she plans to achieve under the guidance of Union Minister J P Nadda.

Patel announced her intention to promptly review the ministry's progress with senior officials and launch several initiatives, including a "100 Days Action Plan." She also mentioned plans to introduce various schemes over the next five years to further this objective.

Patel brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having previously served as Minister of State for Commerce and Industry from 2021 until recently, and as Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare from 2016 to 2019.

Her extensive parliamentary experience includes participation in committees on Petroleum and Natural Gas, the Empowerment of Women, the Welfare of OBCs, Road Transport, Highways and Shipping, Railways Conventions, and Energy, among others.
