Pulses have a long history, since they have been an important source of nutrition for humans and animals for over ten thousand years. Their relevance was established, however, when, as a result of hunger, poverty, and food shortages, the world's concern rose to attain the new goals of feeding a mass population through a nutritious, hygienic, and suitable diet.

On Thursday, February 10th, World Pulses Day will be observed for the fourth time. This day is intended to raise awareness about the importance of pulses in world health.

In light of the above discussion & to support UN's theme of this year's World Pulses Day, Krishi Jagran is hosting a live session on "Pulses to Empower Youth in Achieving Sustainable Seed Production, Distribution, and Agri-Food System" on February 10th, 2022 | 2:00 PM Onwards.
